Iran prepares aggressive retaliation against Israel with advanced weapons

Iran hints at deadlier retaliation against Israel by using more weapons.

Iran has indicated that it plans a stronger retaliation for Israel‘s October strikes, the Wall Street Journal has reported citing regional officials.

Tehran conveyed privately in Cairo that its response will be “complex” and target military facilities “more aggressively” than before.

It comes after Iran lost four soldiers and a civilian in the Israeli attack, necessitating a response per an Iranian official.

The retaliation is not expected before the US elections on November 8 but ahead of the new president’s swearing-in in January.

Iran said it may use Iraqi territory and involve conventional forces beyond just missiles and drones employed so far.

Missiles deployed could have more powerful warheads including newly advanced types used in the October 2 attack on Israel.

An expert warned Iran still has scope to fire more projectiles and heavier warheads than previous direct attacks on Israel.

As assessments now move from downplaying strikes to threatening revenge, the Islamic Republic maintains it can still significantly respond.

Escalation risks drawing justification for atomic arms pursuit, with Tehran seeking to avenge Israeli aggression.
