Iran threatens retaliation as the Gaza conflict continues to escalate

Hossein Salami, the head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, said In a threatening tone that enemies of the nation should be prepared for fallout as he spoke to Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasarullah after the killing of the Movement’s commander Fuad Shukr and Hamas Ismail Haniyeh.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for Palestinian refugees has admitted an increased prevalence of Hepatitis A, showcasing over 40,000 cases in the shelters within the Gaza Strip since the start of the conflict in October.

Palestinians in Gaza had some visions of having a ceasefire recently, but alas! Ismail Haniyeh, the Hamas political leader, has been assassinated. His funeral, held in Doha, Qatar, earlier today attracted thousands, thus depicting the extent of the loss.

The prolonged struggle has been destructive as the UN stated that at least 39, 480 among them 16,314 children, had been killed and 91,128 injured in the Israeli forces’ aggression on Gaza.

In other news, while attacking with the help of Hamas on October 7, more than thousand hundred and thirty-nine people were killed in Israel, and more than two hundred were kidnapped.

The continually rising violence and tension in the region have led to increased advocacy for political intervention as well as efforts towards the implementation of another effective cease-fire deal in the conflict-raging factions.
