Israel authorizes retaliation plan after deadly Golan Heights attack

Responding to the recent reaction to the deadly rocket attack in Iran carried out by Hezbollah leak, the Israeli security cabinet allows Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his defense minister to determine the proper timing and form of response.

The attack took place on Saturday evening at the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights in which 12 children and teenagers belonging to the Druze minority were killed. Hezbollah has thrown the buck, and though the Israeli military did not name Hezbollah in its response, it says it knows the origin of the Iranian-made Falaq rocket to the letter.

The event, which is the deadliest cross-border skirmish for the past several months, has fueled concerns that hostile acts remained far from the full-scale war that may occur between Israel and Hezbollah. Western governments are calling on Israel to calm it down in its reaction towards its neighbors.

Netanyahu, who was in the US at the time of the strike, went to the bombing site in the Druze town of Majdal Shams to make comments saying the killed children were Israelis and that “The state of Israel will not, and cannot, let this pass. ”Hundreds of people demonstrated against his visit.

The White House stated that it trying to negotiate the cessation of attacks in Blueline, the demarcated line between Israel and Lebanon. However, many flight companies decided to halt their operations into and out of Beirut because of expectations of revenge by the Israelis.

The attack has angered the whole of Israel and the Druze, who are approximately 110,000 people in number in the entire Israel population. The Sunday funerals have been conducted with such intensity that was truly shocking: The Druze mourners were crying unabashedly.

This organization has refuted the accusations and instead claimed that the mishap resulted from an Israeli interceptor missile. However, representatives of the Israeli army deny this, arguing that there was a Hezbollah rocket, and whoever fired such a projectile into a populated area ‘wants to kill civilians, wants to kill children.

The increase in battle occurred after Hezbollah retaliated by firing rockets at Israeli positions a day after a deadly Hamas attack in October. Hezbollah always defends its action, saying that they are in support of the Palestinian’s rights.
