Israel claims killing regional Hamas commander in West Bank operation

“A little after, an IAF aircraft took out 2 more Hamas operatives who attempted to escape from the vehicle that they were in, which belonged to Wassem Hazem Maysara Masharqa, and Arafat Amer were both under the command of Wassem Hazem and were involved in shooting at Israeli civilians,” the IDF added.

On Friday, the IDF reported that it neutralized three Hamas terrorists, including regional commander Hazem, while reporting that it had eliminated seven terrorists on Thursday.

Overall, there are 19 Palestinians reported dead, including terrorists, in the three days of military operation, as per the count in the AFP.

West Bank operation causes issues internationally.

While Israel insists that the operation is necessary, international concern has grown that an operation could unstabilize another area at a time that the war has already unstabilized the Gaza strip.
