Another inflow happened during the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The Israeli military fired more artillery and airstrikes on the eastern area of Khan Younis, and this time, they forced the residents to leave the area.
Starting soon after the evacuation was ordered, less than an hour, they began the attacks, and now until today, have killed at least 30 people, according to Gaza health officials.
This makes a lot of people in the enclave homeless and hungry, to say the least, yet they are barely getting a place to run to as Israel escalates its attack, and the area takes up less and less space.
The military complied with its operations by demanding the residents to evacuate the eastern side of the al-Mawasi humanitarian zone due to an intended operation in return for a rocket attack towards Israel. However, the attack started even before the residents could leave, as described by Hind Khoudary.
This particular step has only aggravated the already catastrophic situation in Gaza, which has been under active conflict; the current death toll is 38,983 people, of which 1,661 are children, and more than 90 percent of those affected are civilians, including 9,633 injured.
The ICJ asked Israel to do more to avoid or minimize the loss of civilian lives and allow aid into the Gaza Strip, but Israel has refused to accept the ICJ’s resolution.
