Israeli airstrikes continue in Gaza, ceasefire talks stalled

The bombardments have escalated by the Israeli forces and led to the deaths of at least 11 people. It has also started a fire in Kamal Adwan Hospital and disabled the Intensive Care Unit, which has put the service out of commission.

Hamas said that a truce could be reached if Israel removes new conditions on a cease-fire. In contrast, Israel’s defense minister stated that the country will maintain “full freedom to act” in controlling security in Gaza once the conflict ends.

The United Nations’ humanitarian agency, OCHA, said that the Israeli authorities have been denying entry to northern Gaza to the “overwhelming” aid missions. On Tuesday, three convoys carrying essential food and water supplies were denied entry.

Since the inception of the conflict on 7 October 2023, Israeli military actions within Gaza have led to at least 45,059 deaths and injuries of 107,041 Palestinians. The Hamas-organized attacks on the same date left at least 1,139 dead in Israel, along with over 200 being taken captive.
