Israeli attacks in Beirut and Gaza leave many dead and injured

The civil defense in Lebanon reported that at least 11 were killed and 23 others were injured in the central Beirut neighborhood Basta in an Israeli attack. The strikes also targeted the Hadath and Choueifat areas in the southern suburbs of the city. In another incident, two fishermen were killed in an Israeli drone attack on a beach near Tyre city.

Meanwhile, Gaza’s civil defence has said 19 people, including children were killed and 40 injured because of Israeli airstrikes and tank fire across the enclave overnight. At least 44,056 Palestinians died and 104,286 injured from the actions of Israel since the beginning of hostilities on October 7, 2023.

That day alone, about 1,139 people were also killed in Israel in attacks mainly orchestrated by Hamas, and more than 200 civilians and soldiers were abducted.

In Lebanon, at least 3,645 people have been killed, and 15,355 injured as a result of the Israeli attacks since the beginning of the war. The heavy bombardments continue to increase the excessive violence in the area and affect lots of civilians.
