Attacks persisted even as mediators project a ceasefire deal may be imminent, US President Joe Biden and Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi pressing both Israel and Hamas to nail down an agreement.
Meanwhile, in Tel Aviv, thousands of protesters demonstrated to demand a solution that could pave the way for the release of hostages in Gaza. However, hundreds of ultranationalist supporters went into the streets in Jerusalem, demanding further military operations.
The war has caused incredible casualties; it is reported that at least 46,645 Palestinians have been killed, about 110,012 injured since the beginning of the escalation on October 7, 2023.
