Israeli forces recover bodies of 3 hostages from Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have sadly confirmed the identification of some of the bodies of the hostages who had been held in Gaza by Palestine. The deceased people are Shani Louk, Amit Buskila, and Itzhak Gelerenter, who stated that they might have been murdered on the 7th of October.

“The bodies were located in a Hamas tunnel, and definitely, according to the IDF, the information was received from the interrogation of the terrorists captured in Israel,” divulged the IDF. The crime was carried out at a junction close to the area that witnessed the deadly mass murder of three young Israelis last summer. The culprits took the bodies to the Gaza Strip.

Israeli Prime Minister Bennett Netanyahu was shocked, identifying the cases resulting from the incident as “heartbreaking.” He pledged to return all victims, dead or alive, back to their families.

The hostages’ families’ committee, which represent those who have been kept, mentioned the statement deeply sad and very irritated, while calling the victims “murdered by the brave Hamas fighters”.

Receiving the bodies is one of the deal terms, signed in November, which is the exchange of 105 hostages in exchange for a week-long ceasefire and the release of 240 Palestinians from Israeli jails. Then after that, there is the issue of the last sure hostages to be left unaccounted for.

The embittered situation of this tragedy has had negative effects both on Israel and Hamas. These two groups have been on bad terms regarding the matter of future hostage release through honorable exchange

The negotiations on a permanent safe zone in Cairo to have a lasting truce and release hostages are the present stand-off, with the region being affected by the October 7, 2019 terrorist attacks, killing more than 1200 people for good.
