Israel claims killing another Hezbollah commander amid tensions.
Israel has said it eliminated Suhail Hussein Husseini, the head of Hezbollah headquarters in Beirut, through an airstrike.
The army alleged Husseini played a key role in weapons transfers between Iran and Hezbollah and attacked Israel from Lebanon and Syria.
It comes amid ongoing aggression since clashes erupted between Israel and Hamas last October, leaving numerous casualties on both sides.
Last month, Israel assassinated longtime Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in another major blow. Several other senior members have also been targeted.
However, Hezbollah deputy leader Naim Qassem insisted the group’s capabilities remain intact in the face of “painful losses”.
Meanwhile, limited Israeli ground raids in Lebanon have prompted Hezbollah rocket salvos at northern Israel, stoking wider regional tensions.
As the Iranian Foreign Minister warned of retaliation if attacked, fears of direct conflict between Israel and Iran loom large over the volatile situation.
Ongoing violence on the Lebanese border has raised concerns over a potential escalation into full-scale war.
