Israeli strikes in Gaza kill 18, including 8 children, Palestinians report

Palestinian officials report that Israel’s airstrikes in different areas of the Gaza Strip territories have claimed the lives of at least 18 people, with 8 of them being children.

Civil Defense individuals, the first responders working under the Hamas administration, stated that three kids and a mom were killed in an airstrike that occurred late Monday evening in the Tufah district of Gaza City. It said three others went missing after the strike.

A similar strike later on Monday brought the Palestinians capital in downtown Gaza City with a child, three women, and a man who expired, as reported by the Gaza Health Ministry.

In the southern part of the Gaza strip, an attack on a residential house at about 2 a.m. on Tuesday claimed the lives of five civilians, a man, three children, and a woman, including three-year-old children, according to the list of the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, where the bodies were taken.

A further airstrike in the very early hours of Tuesday reduced a house in the western part of Khan Younis to rubble and claimed not less than four lives, with one of the victims being a child, as confirmed by Nasser Hospital, which received the bodies of the deceased.

People seen on the video collected at the site were seen clearing the debris left by the cyclone. A man was seen evacuating a child with an injury on the ground in the direction of an ambulance, and two other persons were seen evacuating the body of a man wrapped in a blanket.

Israel says it does all it can to spare civilians’ lives while accusing Hamas of exposing them to danger, especially by conducting operations in populated areas. However, the military does not usually release details on the attacks, which many times target women and children.

Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that according to its records, more than 40,000 people in Gaza were killed by Israel. It started when Hamas-sponsored gunmen launched a cross-border raid into the parking area in southern Israel on October 7 and killed over 1,200 people, many of the civilian population, and kidnapped nearly 250 people.
