JD Vance tells Kamala Harris to “go to hell” amidst US Election tensions

JD Vance hits out at Kamala Harris over Afghanistan withdrawal remarks.

Senator JD Vance, touted as former US President Donald Trump‘s potential running mate, lashed out at Vice President Kamala Harris over her criticism of the latter visiting Arlington National Cemetery.

When asked about an alleged altercation involving Trump’s campaign photographer at the cemetery, Vance dismissed it as a media creation. He argued verifiable evidence showed permission was granted.

Vance then targeted Harris over the US withdrawal from Afghanistan last year after the Taliban takeover of Kabul. 13 American soldiers had died during this period.

Claiming Harris “refused to do her job”, the Ohio Senator said there have been no investigations or accountability on the botched exit despite the loss of lives.

He termed the Vice President “disgraceful” for allegedly failing to probe the matter but instead confronting Trump. In response, Vance told Harris she “can go to hell”.

Harris had honored the soldiers’ sacrifice and defended President Joe Biden‘s decision to end America’s longest war. Her team called the alleged Arlington incident “sad but typical” of Trump.

Congress and the Biden administration have issued reports on the withdrawal that partially blamed previous administration policies for the challenges faced. Investigations were conducted on related issues as well.

The incident sparked a war of words between the 2024 presidential election hopefuls over their handling of the Afghanistan endgame and related responsibilities.
