The US Vice President nostalgically recalled his initial encounter with PM Modi at the AI Action Summit. US Vice President JD Vance on Tuesday presented a humorous moment from his dinner night with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg house in the capital last evening.
Vance referred to PM Modi as a “special person” and shared that he was the second global leader, only behind President Donald Trump, among whom his kids take a liking to. JD Vance, who arrived in India on Monday with his wife, Usha, and their three children for a four-day visit, credited his appreciation for PM Modi to the good impression the Prime Minister had created among his children.
Addressing an event in Jaipur, the US vice president stated that his oldest son, Ewan, informed him that he could reside in India. “My son, Ewan, is seven years old.” He is our eldest son. Yesterday, after dining at the Prime Minister’s House, the food was such an improvement and the Prime Minister so generous to our three children that Ewan approached me later and said, ‘Dad, maybe I can live in India,” he said.
Vance continued to add that it did not take his son long to change his mind. I believe after roughly 90 minutes in the Jaipur sun today at the Great Palace, he (Ewan) proposed perhaps we should relocate to England. So you take the good with the bad here,” he said.
The US Vice President reminisced warmly about his initial encounter with PM Modi at the AI Action Summit, noting the Prime Minister’s considerate gesture on Ewan’s birthday in Paris earlier this year.
“I believe he is a special individual. I met Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time at the AI Action Summit in February. We had many significant conversations regarding AI and other policies to get ready for. And the Prime Minister also happened to realize that my son Vivek was actually celebrating his fifth birthday on the trip.
This was in Paris a few months ago.” So consider this—a massive international policy gathering. He took the time to swing by where I was staying, wish our second son Vivek a happy birthday, and even bring him a gift,” Mr. Vance said. “.
