Donald Trump’s favorite Fox News host, Jesse Watters, was recently forced to go on air to apologize after upsetting viewers with lewd comments about the US Vice President Kamala Harris. Watters attracted an outpour of criticism after he said to Harris that the generals would “paralyze her” and end up having their way with her in the White House Situation Room.
Outcries for his resignation have recently increased, and Watters used a segment of The Five to defend himself against his comments of making sexual remarks, and he refuted their accusations, arguing that what he said was “figurative” not flirtatious or indecent even after co-hosts Dana Perino and Jeanine Pirro challenged him, live on the segment.
It was not only Democrats but also Republican Congresswoman Barbara Comstock and Doug Emhoff’s ex-wife, Kerstin, expressing anger at the attacks. Comstock accused Watters of misogyny, especially towards Harris, due to the remarks he made. This particular event has raised a number of debates regarding gender and respect in the political arena.
