Kamala Harris urges georgia voters to make their voices heard

For the third time this election season, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris stopped by Atlanta’s V-103 radio station Monday for an appearance on The Big Tigger Morning Show, and this time again urged Georgia voters to make their voices heard on Election Day.

“Today’s the day to vote. People need to get out and be active,” Harris said, stressing the call to participate in the voting process. Polls across Georgia are scheduled to close at 7 PM ET, and Harris underscored the importance of every single vote, saying, “I want to make sure everybody knows the power of their voice through their vote.”

During the interview, Harris never mentioned former President Donald Trump’s name but called him “my opponent.” This strategic choice reflects the intensity of the campaign since both candidates have been well-matched in recent polls.

Millions of Americans thronged polling stations on Tuesday as they voted to elect the 47th President of the United States in a charged atmosphere of high anticipation. The election crowns one of the most divisive presidential campaigns ever seen in the United States, with Harris and Trump running neck and neck according to various media outlet surveys.

To win the election, a candidate needs at least 270 electoral votes. Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin are considered battleground states that are important in this race.

In a little-noticed moment, each Harris and Trump received three votes in the tiny New Hampshire town of Dixville Notch, which, as is its tradition, opens and closes just after midnight ET.
