Dangerous Obsession: Deranged Man Arrested for Chilling Threats Against Trump and Family.
Even after assuming the highest office in the United States, former President Donald Trump continues to face a barrage of threats to his life and that of his family.
The latest incident involves a man from Arizona who has been detained by federal officials for allegedly making disturbing and violent remarks targeting the former president.
According to authorities, Manuel Tamayo-Torres, a resident of California, has been under scrutiny for posting several online videos in which he appeared to be wielding an AR-15-style rifle and other weapons while making rambling and profanity-laced threats.
The court documents against Tamayo-Torres indicate that he even went as far as to videotape his visit to an arena in Glendale, Arizona, where Trump was holding a campaign event in August, suggesting that he had come dangerously close to the then-president-elect.
“While the charging documents only refer to Trump as ‘Individual 1,’ they say Tamayo-Torres made ‘vague yet direct threats’ against ‘the president-elect,’ and sources familiar with the investigation separately confirmed Tamayo-Torres’ alleged threats targeted Trump,” as reported by ABC News.
Federal authorities have also revealed that Tamayo-Torres has made claims in recent months that “Individual 1” (referring to Trump) had abducted and trafficked his children, including his daughter, with the assistance of the Secret Service.
According to reports, the deranged individual has been posting these chilling recordings “on a near-daily basis” in recent months, further escalating the threats against the former president and his loved ones.
This is not the first time that Trump has had to contend with such dangerous obsession and violent intentions. Before his election victory, he was the target of several murder plots, with the most infamous incident occurring during a Pennsylvania rally in July 2016, when a gunman named Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire, grazing the then-candidate’s ear.
