Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have begun hiring for their new upcoming DOGE. Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Indian-American biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy have begun hiring for their new upcoming Department of Government Efficiency or DOGE. However, the plot twist here is that to submit their resumes, candidates will be required to have an X subscription.
This comes days after President-elect Donald Trump named them to head the DOGE department. According to Trump, the two will co-lead the “Manhattan Project of our time” and “dismantle” the $6.5 trillion federal government.

With DOGE now having its handle on the social media platform owned by Musk, the department has announced that it was hiring team members. Among the many prerequisites for applicants is buying a premium membership on the platform to upload their resumes.
“We are very grateful to the thousands of Americans who have expressed interest in helping us at DOGE,” it said in a statement on X. “We don’t need more part-time idea generators. If that’s you, DM this account with your CV. Elon & Vivek will review the top 1% of applicants,” it added.
To send messages to DOGE, one has to pay for a confirmed X account. An individual can get a verified account by paying $84 annually for the premium-level membership. Another requirement to apply for the position must be well-elapsed, regardless of whether training or experience is required.
