Mysterious death in Kansas leads to conviction and life sentence

The peculiar case of a homicide in Hays, KS, captured the interest of the public, which resulted in a comprehensive investigation and sentencing. Located in the town of the same name, Colby Trickle rang up an emergency in 2019 to report that his wife, Kristen Trickle, had decided to end her own life. Even though these offenses would cease to be an issue of everyday life, the circumstances related to her murder resulted in concerns from the law enforcement community.

Following the death verdict of Dr. Lyle Noordhoek, contrary to the preliminary cause of suicide, the coroner’s doubts did not stop. Sgt.

Brandon Hauptman of the Hays Police Department, who had also come to the scene, doubted that Colby Trickle was involved in the case. The investigative efforts continued as detectives doggedly explored every opportunity and chased down every lead.

A few months after Colby Trickle’s first era of being in the spotlight, the latter initiated a series of eyebrow-raising exposures. He made out on these two policies worth more than 120,000 less than a month after his term of life ended.

Moreover, the purchase of an ordinary-shaped sex doll was one of the most bizarre things that followed him, which put the public into doubt about his physical condition.

The detectives verified his unusual apathy and suspicious behavior following the tragic incident, being the ones who seemed to be ordinary. It rightly took a different route when Colby presented false information about his military assignments. The US Army spokesperson reported that he was unequivocally never sent to any overseas missions, refuting his previous statements.

Earlier in 2023, a crime scene was found, and a police investigation found many differences between the crime scene and reports submitted by Trickle. This was followed by an observation of the pattern of business dealings, which led to his arrest.

Although court proceedings took a long time, he was still found guilty of eliminating one person in the first degree and interfering with law enforcement. After that, he was sentenced to spend his life in jail without a chance to apply for discharge or commute.
