A helicopter came under fatal accident in the Nuwakot district of the Gorkha region of Nepal on Wednesday, claiming the lives of five people.
A statement from the authorities working with the Air Dynasty helicopter on Wednesday affirmed that one of their helicopters crashed in the Shivpuri area of Nuwakot district, Nepal. Local media said the helicopter was flying from Kathmandu to Syaphrubensi when the mishap occurred.
Senior captain Arun Malla was piloting the helicopter, and last communication with the ground crew was reported minutes after it took off.
Four people were on board the chopper when it flew, all Chinese, and the pilot. Locally owned media said the Chinese nationals were headed to Rasuwa.
According to the local media report, published based on the sources at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), the helicopter left for KTM at 1:54 pm on Wednesday. From the said footage, communication between the chopper and the authorities was severed at Surya Chaur at 1:57 a.m.
Emergency operations are continuing on the crash scene, which is burning up. All sources of the news have since confirmed that all five passengers on the chopper together with the pilot were killed in the accident.
