Currently, the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, displayed his aggressiveness during one of his speeches on September 22, where he warned that Hezbollah would shortly understand what Israel is telling them through the many acts of aggression. Speaking in a video posted to social media, Netanyahu focused on recent operations regarding Hezbollah, saying, “In the past few days, we dealt a series of blows to Hezbollah that it could not have thought up.
He again and again stressed that Israel would do everything so that the residents displaced from the northern region return to their homes uninjured, and said: “No country can tolerate [rocket] fire at its residents, [rocket] fire at its cities.” The State of Israel also cannot tolerate it.” His determination to restore security was evident when he said, “We will do everything necessary.”
These remarks came after the situation worsened when Hezbollah allegedly fired over 100 rockets, missiles, and drones at Israel in response to the Israeli aggression that has targeted senior Hezbollah officials and communication equipment in Lebanon.
Netanyahu did not refer to the overnight attack that precursed the blaring of air raid alarms all over the northern region of Israel, but Hezbollah took responsibility for firing rockets toward Israeli military installations, including one near Haifa. This was one of Hezbollah’s most daring attacks on Israeli land since the beginning of the current conflict.
According to the Israeli military, most of the projectiles landed were identified by air defenses, and most of the attacks only caused minor injuries to the victims. However, a town close to Haifa was directly targeted, thus leading to the enhancement of restrictions on any form of gatherings in other places, including Golan Heights and Galilee.
In Lebanon: At least 45 were killed in Beirut following an Israeli airstrike attack, with several of the victims being women and kids. Hezbollah said that one of the operatives it buried was the top operational commander Ibrahim Aqeel, who is on the US terrorism most wanted list following his role in the 1983 bombings, which claimed more than 350 lives in Beirut.
