Pak PM gifts Chinese drill photo to army chief, sparks laughter

Asim Munir allegedly hosted a VIP dinner last week, in which he gave the forged image to political leaders as a gift of gratitude for their “foresight” during the four-day armed clash with India. In another exhibition of ridicule, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave Army Chief Asim Munir a 2019 Chinese military exercise photograph with a false description of Operation Bunyan al-Marsus against India.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister and Army Chief were lambasted by netizens for “photoshop” and trashed. Last week, Asim Munir is said to have hosted a VIP dinner, where he showed the photoshopped picture to political leaders as a gesture of gratitude for their “foresight” amid the four-day armed conflict with India.

Indians ridiculed the move, blaming Pakistan for attempting to “win” the fight using Canva and Photoshop. Others posted the original photo of the Chinese drill on X, pointing out the tampering. A user commented on X, “Pakistan’s newest masterpiece: Shehbaz Sharif showing a photoshop painting of a 2019 Chinese drill to Failed Marshal Asim Munir. Guess when you can’t win in battle, you win in Canva.”
