Most recently, a man from Karachi, Pakistan, was arrested for presumed domestic violence against his wife and children, who were even imprisoned and beaten to death on camera for further distribution through the dark web. This took place after the victim’s sister, Huma Rizvi, based in the United States of America, reported the incident to the Police.
The police also disclosed that the suspect, Tahir, revealed that he installed the hidden camera in the bathroom to tape his wife, Elia. He said he took the camera back and never recorded any video he could post online. However, Elia has allegations of Tahir for forcing her to have relations with his friends and attempting to make unwanted sex videos with their 16-year-old daughter.
Upon being questioned, Tahir disclosed that he was periodically emailed by an unknown foreign source with details on how to record more of the abusive clips and send them back. Police say his mobile phone and laptop were seized from him, arguing they are also investigating them.
The arrest was facilitated by the Women Police assigned in the Central District of Karachi, where they were able to rescue Elia and her four children. Law enforcement agencies continue the investigation of the case to reveal an extent of the suspect’s commitment and his possible link to other black market activities related to the clandestine online platform.
