Pakistan military eliminates 30 terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

According to a statement issued by the army’s media wing, ISPR, the Pakistan military has announced the killing of 30 terrorists in three different operations in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

In a series of operations based on intelligence, security forces targeted areas that were known to be hosting terrorists. On Friday and Saturday, an operation was carried out in Lakki Marwat in which 18 terrorists were killed and six others injured during the engagement.

The District of Karak saw another clearance operation, during which eight terrorists were killed in a gunfight. In another engagement, four terrorists were killed by Pakistani troops in the Bagh area of Khyber District. Key ring leaders killed included Aziz ur Rehman Qari Ismail and Kharji Mukhlis, with two other terrorists injured.

Recoveries from the killed terrorists included different types of weapons and ammunition. The killed terrorists were reported to be involved in several attacks on security personnel and the civilian population. The military operation at Dosalli resulted in the killing of six terrorists while two were taken into custody. In other operations in Esham, North Waziristan District, three terrorists were killed in an intense exchange of fire.

Earlier this month, security forces had already achieved major success by killing five terrorists, including their leader Shafiullah Shafi, in an operation in Dera Ismail Khan. Just a day earlier, nine terrorists were reported killed in two separate engagements in North Waziristan. These operations underscore the military’s ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and restore stability in the region.
