Prominent Papua new Guinea Minister faces assault charges

More disturbing, in the recent past, the influential PNG Petroleum Minister, Jimmy Maladina, faced the Polls after being charged with assault resulting from a reported domestic incident in Australia. The claimed female victim is still anonymous; however, it is mentioned that she sustained minor facial injuries during the attack. This case has significant roles that Maladina played as the Petroleum Minister, being a close friend of President James Marape, and his engagement in the nation’s lucrative natural gas ventures.
