The 15-year reign of the Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came to an early stop on Monday as she left more than a month of protest accompanied by killings, and the military stated that it would devise an interim government.

Since early July, the Bangladesh leader, Hasina, has tried to suppress the countrywide demonstrations against her government, but she had to leave the country after the outbreak of violence on Sunday, in which nearly 100 people were killed.

At least 56 people were killed Monday during violence, more in Dhaka but also in other cities, police said, adding that gangs have begun retaliating against Hasina’s allies.

Altogether, at least 94 people died on the Sunday, which was the bloodiest day of the protest. Protestors clashed with the pro-government supporters, and the latter used sticks and knives, and the security force fired.
