Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin stirred up the media by expressing support for US Vice President Kamala Harris in the next presidential election. But then, shockingly, people realized that this statement was made in jest.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov recommended Rex for an interview with Sky News Arabia. Putin’s comment was explained thus: “It was a joke.” President Putin is funny because he loves incorporating humor in his statements and interviews.
Following Putin’s statements, the White House asked him not to discuss the US elections any longer. Lavrov also said:
“I do not see differences in our attitudes towards the present or previous elections in the United States as the so-called deep state manages them.”
Recall, at the economic forum, Putin said: “Russia supports the Democratic candidate Harris,” mentioning in one breath Biden’s previous candidacy. He said our favorite was the current president, Mr. Biden. He has been withdrawn from the race but urged his followers to vote for Ms. Harris. The same way, we shall do the same and support her, was said with a grin.
Putin also spoke about the personality of Harris and stated that her laughter infectious means she is fine. They can influence the organization. He thought that if she did well, she would not impose severe restrictions and sanctions on Russia as had been enacted under Trump.
