A bid to shoot a murder scene for an Instagram reel created panic in Karnataka’s Kalaburagi late on Monday, police on Tuesday reported, saying two individuals have been arrested.
The crime was committed in Humnabad Ring Road where the men – Saibanna and Sachin – employed a blunt instrument and some red fluid that looked like blood to stage the murder scene. Saibanna sat on Sachin as if he had killed him with the blunt object, while the latter was lying on the ground in a puddle of “blood”, police added. Both their faces were also smeared with “blood”, police said.
A video of the incident has also gone viral. The action, however, created panic among residents of the area, who were not aware of the duo’s plans and their attempt to shoot an Instagram reel.
Offices stated that Saibanna and Sachin were taken into custody as the Kalaburagi Sub-Urban Police became aware of the commotion instigated through their actions.
