As conservative as it may sound, experts in the industry report that Chinese scientists and engineers are employing principles of the chat GPT-like technology to develop a new kind of sex doll that is artificial intelligence-based and highly civilized and or sociable.
At the center of this new and revolutionary step is Starpery Technology, a Chinese company that builds and sells sex dolls from Shenzhen. In an interview with its CEO, Evan Lee disclosed that the company is training its large language model, which shall help augment its products with unpreceded AI functionalities.
‘We are trying to come up with the next generation sex doll which is capable of engaging the users both through voice and body movements, and we plan to have the prototypes ready by August this year,’ Lee said to the South China Morning Post.
The promise of this new approach relies on the potential to develop more realistic and, therefore, stimulating media for the viewer. In the past, old-fashioned sex dolls came with metal frames covered by an outer silicone layer.
They were not very good at emulating real human beings and engaging in more natural interactions. However, this is set to change with the market set to be flooded with a new generation of Sex dolls that are infused with artificial intelligence.
“The new generation of sex dolls, which are controlled with AI models and mounted with sensors, can have basic interactions in terms of actions and words than making simple conversation with users, and this completely improves user experiences as its primary goal is to foster emotional interactivity and bonding instead of just mimicking human responses and feelings,”

There are still social issues, because these conversation partners are AI-supported companions, which makes their creation more complicated because of the need for creating appropriate models by the specialized software companies.
‘While basic dialogues are quite effortless, what is broken down into the interactive response called for takes time, and for these, one needs model development conducted by specialized software companies, ’ Lee agreed.
However, it draws a line at producing AI Sex Dolls, which are expected to be out in the market soon due to the world’s ever-evolving technology. Thus, with more technological improvements, the intimate experience will also advance it as consumer demands for better and better dolls continue to push the industry to innovate.
