Rising tensions as reports suggest Iran contemplates direct attack on Israel

As per the news outlet of the Wall Street Journal, Israel is now ready to act against Iran aggressively but it will do it later within these 48 hours. In this throwback to the horrors of the Holocaust, the Israeli nation is preparing for similar actions. Amid the growth of the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, where peace is no longer in sight, this comes as a relief to Gaza.

Citing a person close to the Iranian leadership, The Wall Street Journal said the Iranian regime was now determining whether to risk their military resources in an assault on Israel or face the risk of severe diplomatic repercussions. It is said that the top leaders and the Supreme Leader are considered to be reviewing strike plans currently under review.

The heightened tensions of late come close on the heels of a series of violent events that saw Iran warn about retaliation upon an assault on an embassy in Syria. The Iranian general got liquidated during the operation, together with his six other hierarchal officers. The longstanding struggle between Iran and Israel on the issue of nuclear holocaust and the ambiguous role of Israel in the sabotage indicates a tensed relationship between the traditional rivals.

This move of Israel against Iranian officers bears illustration in the setting of the attack on the Iranian consulate that characterises assault on militias that Iran supports as their source of conflict to very Israel. In the face of not only a heightened but an imminent attack risk, the United States has given an advisory for duly led American citizens to Israel.

Iran has said that she will be brave to enter the conflict with Israel. Still, at the same time, she has described realizing the necessity of preventing the huge escalation and putting an end to the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei asserted that the reckless actions of the Israeli state must never remain unchecked, and Israel must be punished. Nevertheless, Iran has shown a hesitant attitude. It has insisted on its requirements that the root cause of the problem [Palestinian problem] should be addressed at the first instance and the cease-fire should be imposed in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army has addressed the Hamas missiles by air strikes on Syria, which aim to eliminate the Hezbollah force in Lebanon that was supported by Iran and the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) from Iran. The situation remains highly volatile as both Israel and Iran get through the risky period while compressing any threat.
