Royals on the outs: Harry and Meghan’s waning Influence in the Palace

After biologically empowering him and Meghan to step down from royal duties in 2020, they have become outcasts in the British monarchy.

Having once been members of the House of Windsor and enjoying the support and friendship of the other senior royals, Meghan and Harry are seen by the rest of the royal family as ‘internationally irrelevance’, as insiders revealed to the palace.

A move to California, provocative interviews, the constant struggle with the firm, and the resulting insistence on being heard have all worked to undermine their apparent position in the royal hierarchy.

As for the presence of Harry and Meghan, it can be noted that their importance and activity on social media decreased, especially with King Charles III taking the throne and young characters like Prince William and Kate Middleton gaining more power.

One insider’s comment is:

“The royals have simply moved on.”

Media playing in every event or scandal involving the royals nowadays, Prince Harry and Meghan’s constant media appearances and scandals have become a problem the family wants to dissociate from.

The recent appearance of the Sussexes at the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II gave people insights into this fact because they occupy a relatively low rank compared to other royals, and certain types of activities are prohibited for them.

This was quite unusual if compared to the couple’s significantly more active presence during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee back in June.

In this new era of heralding Charles and gathering all the support necessary for his enthronement, Harry and Meghan are gradually being shoved to the margins of disregard—a far cry from the modernizing agents the monarchy hailed when casting about for new faces.

And whether they will be able to do so and eventually return to playing the role of kings and queens or at least regain at least a part of their previous status is still unknown; however, at the moment, both seem to be gradually slipping out of the public eye.
