Nirmala Sitharaman has been re-elected to her second term over the same position and has succeeded at the Ministry of Finance and Corporate Affairs of India. She will present the last budget before the new government settles in for the coming fiscal, 202425, and consequently will be laying down the vision of the Modi government’s third term.
The preparation of the budgetary processes has started in the North Block. At the same time, the Finance Ministry has now officially gone into a ‘lock-down’ till the presentation of the budget in July. Sitharaman introduced an interim budget earlier this year and, this time, focused on the aspect of the government teaching “Ease of Living” and carrying forward the reform agenda from 2014.
The total budget for 2024-25 might be provided in the 18th Lok Sabha meeting next month. The first parliamentary session will start on June 24, with the President opening the session of the two Houses on June 27 with the new government’s vision.
The budget Kaal will also make history after presenting her seventh budget and six full budgets in a row. This lady has made history by being the first lady to occupy positions such as the Defence Minister of India and the first woman Finance Minister who has served India without interruption since independence.
Under the budget, there is a lot of expectation to gain more information on the Modi 3. The current government in particular, is committed to achieving the Prime Minister’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat” or Developed India.
