Spain blocks explosive shipment from India to Israel

Spain is responding to the crisis swiftly and hands-on by refusing to dock the Danish-flagged cargo ship said to be carrying the 26. India had sent 8 tonnes of TNT, or 16,000 pounds, earmarked for Israel.

His Excellency, Mr. Jose Manuel Albares, Foreign Minister of Spain, disclosed in Brussels that this procedure has been taken up pretty high for the first time. “We don’t need more guns in the Middle East; we need peace. These were Albares’ words when he was expressing Spain’s criticism of the deadly fighting in Gaza that is described as Israel’s military operations.”

A ship called “Marianne Danica,” which had a permit to dock at the port of Cartagena, sought the site on the 21st of May. The cargo vessel left the Chennai port in India on 8th April and traveled across the African continent, arriving at the West African port of Cape Verde on 13th May, according to marine transit information.

India’s government chose to deliver arms to Israel at a time when other nations are reconsidering their own countries’ arms deliveries to that country. Just within the last week, the Palestinian support groups claimed that not only was the “MV forms its words “Borkum,” an Antigua and Barbuda-flagged vessel, the former one, but in addition, its mission was also linked to Israel’s military personnel in India.

Although the Spanish Transport Minister, Oscar Puente, denied that these claims were the case, he stated that their ship, the Borkum, was not arming but rather heading to the Czech Republic.

The Spanish government’s stance shows the current tensions worldwide as The Middle East arouses the international community’s interests to date. Beyond denying the port of call in the dispute in Gaza, Spain’s resolve to refuse such docking further reinforces its stance toward promoting peace and minimizing arms trafficking to the region.
