Springfield bomb threat follows unfounded migrant conspiracy spread by Trump

Tensions high in Springfield after bomb threats, Trump amplifies fake story.

Springfield, Ohio saw government buildings evacuated after a bomb threat email surfaced. This came days after Donald Trump pushed a fake story of Haitian migrants harming pets.

Despite being debunked, the ex-President and Senate candidate repeated the claims. Democrats accused them of fanning racial tensions over immigration ahead of polls.

Trump redoubled rhetoric at an Arizona rally, alarming Haitian immigrant Mackenso Roseme when evacuating children from the threatened school.

The Mayor said the email mentioned Haitian immigration issues. Over 15,000 Haitians live in Springfield under TPS, says Governor Mike DeWine.

He noted the population surge placed stress but welcomed migrants working locally. Clergy united in support of the community amid violence threats.

A pastors’ meeting called for unity, concerned over tensions. But Trump continued social media posts alleging an “inundation.”

Authorities say past claims of animal abuse were baseless. However, the hoax took centre stage during the Vice President’s debate with heightened rhetoric.
