Below are some of the recent attacks on such events.
2024 MOSCOW ATTACK
Over 140 noncombatants were shot dead by gunmen in March 2024 on a revived Crocus City Hall near Moscow, then burned it.
The attack carried out by the Islamic State group started as Picnic, the Soviet-era rock group, was to perform its hit “Afraid of Nothing.”.
Terrorists equipped with automatic weapons opened fire on people and abducted hostages on Oct. 7, 2023, during the Nature Party festival near Kibbutz Re’im and killed 260 of them; it became the first attack of the war on Israel led by Hamas. It led to the war in Gaza, through which 40,000 Palestinians have been killed.
2017 Las Vegas Shopping
One gunman fired shots on the attendees of a country music concert in Las Vegas at Route 91 Harvest starting at 10:08 p.m. on October 1, killing at least 60 people and wounding hundreds of others, making it the deadliest mass shooting in recent American history.
The attacker was later discovered dead in a hotel room. Strangely again, the FBI failed to establish a motive for the killings.
