With the existing hostility between Israel and Iran, defense officials are developing a heightened conflict. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said that he has been in touch with the defense ministers of the United States and Britain to review the security context.
The concern of an extension of the conflict in Gaza has risen due to Iranian warning of revenge for the execution of a senior Hamas commander in Tehran last week.
This comes a few months down the line, when around four months ago Iran and Israel directly attacked each other, most of the attacks were thwarred by air defense systems.
In turn, the US has reaffirmed its pledge to assist in protecting Israel, stating Biden spoke with Netanyahu and presented new defensive US military arrangements. However, Biden demanded a cease-fire from Netanyahu concerning Gaza.
The Defense Secretary of the United Kingdom has urged that the “[parties have to] tone down the rhetoric” as he demanded an “immediate ceasefire” and help for the Gaza Strip.
Nevertheless, Netanyahu has been locked and remains steadfast on the Iranian menace and its surrogates across the Middle East as he has alluded to what he terms Abraham’s Armed Forces partnership with NATO countries.
Staying the same, the world is demanding detente and the peaceful settlement of the conflict.
