Four Egypt aid trucks are in the Gaza Strip as efforts intensify to solve the humanitarian crisis there. This comes when over 70 international organizations are impune for a famine in the region.
Local correspondents for Al Jazeera revealed that the Egyptian Red Crescent confirmed that over 200 trucks are expected to enter Gaza in the next couple of days, demonstrating the situation’s gravity. A very unsettled humanitarian crisis has characterized the region, and the population consequences remain a worry.
Under the growing tensions and further actions, the military wing in Hamas has taken charge of what it called a ‘big missile’ attack on Tel Aviv. Earlier today, the Qassam Brigades, the military branch of Hamas, claimed that its fighters had “killed and captured” an unspecified number of Israeli soldiers in the Jabalia camp. Yet, the Israeli military has dubbed such accusations as fake.
The war created tension, and recently, Israel has increased its operations in Gaza, killing more than 80 Palestinians in a day. The situation has escalated continuously in recent days, and the two parties are unleashing accusations against each other.
In response to the occurrence, a Hamas representative, Osama Hamdan, opined that there was no need for further negotiations with Israelis and noted that the ongoing discussions are only giving the IDF more time to persist with the assault on the Gaza Strip.
As the levels of violence have risen high, the death toll has also reached disastrous levels, : at least 35,984 Palestinians were killed and up to 80,643 Palestinians were injured in Gaza in the course of the Israel’s war on the strip from October 7. As of this writing, 1,139 people in Israel lost their lives to Hamas’ attacks, with many hostages before press time.
The situation remains tense and people in the area continue to suffer and lose their lives in the fighting, therefore the governments, diplomats and other humanitarian organizations appeal to the conflicting parties to change their approach and care more about the lives of the people and work more on attaining long lasting peace.
