A police officer’s death after he was shot in central Moscow has made safety at security agencies in Russia the focus of the investigation.
According to this action of a single man creating this moment while the FSB office was killing him, we can not be sure how the threat of such an act could have been predicted.
The attack, therefore, inflicts a humiliating reprisal on the FSB, the successor of the domestic intelligence agency KGB, which was notorious for tight surveillance within Russia.
The investigation will question whether the expert officials or opponents are the susceptibility and risks. Very few and rare penetration activities of the world of high risk to rial are done carefully.
This raises fears that the attacker might have penetrated a civic zone previously inaccessible to the agents of power, thereby revealing the delicate line of a balance between state oversight and control of its citizens.
In deprecating its policy stance, the attack sustains the damage to the image of Russia as it struggles with its quest to be seen as a powerful anti-intelligence player internationally.
There will be, without a doubt, holes in the most renowned system with camouflage capabilities and penetration because it will attract opponents’ views on domestic motion limits. It is a balancing game between surveillance and privacy, which only works for special cases and not individual preferences.
Coming closer, frequent auditing of the position and faith of citizens in the police will be important.
