Donald Trump’s Campaign Complains to FEC About UK’s Labour Party Aiding Harris-Walz Campaign
Donald Trump’s campaign has filed a complaint with the FEC, describing the UK’s Labour Party as “blatant foreign interference” in aiding the Harris-Walz campaign.
Labor appears to have contacts and seeming volunteer efforts with members of the Harris campaign through the media, thus qualifying for unlawful contributions.
The BBC understands the Labour activists campaigning in the US presidential election are doing so in a personal capacity.
Labor leader – and UK Prime Minister – Sir Keir Starmer has tried to play down the row, saying Labour has long sent volunteers to US elections.
Party officials from the UK regularly contact counterparts in the US. This has happened previously between Trump’s Republican Party and the Conservative Party in the UK.
BBC political editor Chris Mason asked the UK PM whether the row risked jeopardizing his relationship with any future Trump administration, to which he said “no.”
Sir Keir said a dinner the two men had together at Trump Tower in New York last month “established a good relationship.”
The BBC has approached the Harris-Walz campaign for comment.

Election polls – is Harris or Trump ahead?
The row appears to have been sparked by a LinkedIn post, which said that nearly 100 people signed up to travel to the US after telling them to go there.
Labour Party head of operations Sofia Patel posted: “10 spots” available; “we will sort your housing.”
