.Alex Bruesewitz, advisor to US President-elect Donald Trump, collapsed on stage in New York Sunday night (local New York time) while speaking during a Young Republican Club gala.
Bruesewitz was reportedly introducing incoming White House senior aide Dan Scavino when he started slurring his words. Moments later, Bruesewitz fainted in front of hundreds of people, as multiple videos on social media showed.
Official updates on his medical condition were yet to be received. However, The New York Post quoted Raheem Kassam, a former aide of British conservative politician Nigel Farage, as saying that Bruesewitz was fine and talking.
“I talked to our friend Alex Bruesewitz. Do you know what he said? He goes, ‘Did I at least look cool?’ I said, Alex, you used gravity like I’ve seen nobody use gravity before in their lives,” the report quoted Kassam as saying.
The report said that Trump also wished for Bruesewitz after getting wind of the incident. The report claimed that Trump said on the phone, ” I know Alex will be fine because he’s a tough son of a gun. There’s no doubt about that. So I want to say hello to Alex because he’s a very special guy. “
