Trump briefed on alleged Iranian assassination threats

Intelligence officials have warned the Republican presidential candidate of ‘real and specific threats from Iran,’ his campaign said. Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump has claimed ‘big threats’ on his life after a US intelligence briefing about the alleged threat from Iran that he will be assassinated.

On Wednesday, the former United States president said on his Truth Social platform that “the entire US military is watching and waiting.”

Iran already took moves, and those didn’t materialize, but they will try again … I am surrounded by more men, guns, and weapons than I have ever seen before,” he said.

His campaign spokesman, Steven Cheung, Tuesday said that ODNI had warned Trump “regarding real and specific threats from Iran to assassinate him to destabilize and sow chaos in the United States.”

“Increasingly, intelligence officials have identified that these continued and coordinated attacks have intensified in the last several months,” Cheung said.

He added that law enforcement officials were working hard to ensure that Trump was provided with protection and that the November 5 presidential election was free of interference.
