Former President Donald Trump is declaring victory over VP Kamala Harris in light of projected wins over some key battleground states.
The AP called Georgia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania for Trump, putting him at 267 Electoral College votes as early as Wednesday morning. He is only three votes short of the 270 he needs to win the presidency on November 5.
While the AP has not officially declared Trump the winner of the presidential election, and Harris has not conceded, the vice president seems to have an exceedingly slim chance of attaining 270 votes in the Electoral College.
