In an interview with Fox News Radio, former President of the United States Donald Trump discussed how he chooses his running mate for the upcoming election. The ex-president hinted that he would make the announcement in “the next week or so” and would “love to do it during the convention” next week.
Recently, when asked by Brian Kilmeade, Trump listed potential candidates such as J. D. Vance, Doug Burgum, Rubio, and Tim Scott after him. However, the former president pointed out that this was likely to be a very contentious process, as one had to select the most deserving postgraduate student.
Trump was informed that his choice of Rubio may complicate matters because, according to the 12th Amendment, neither of the contenders “shall be an inhabitant of the same state” to get the Electoral College votes. Should Trump and Rubio ever face off, it could complicate things seeing that both consider Florida their home state.
Moreover, Trump began responding to doubts about Doug Burgum on the issue of abortion, which allows it only in case of rape and in the first six weeks of pregnancy. Well, I would certainly agree, Trump analyzing it as “an issue” said that the ban is pretty strong to say the least.
To the issue of Joe Biden‘s cognitive decline, Trump shrugged it off with a comment that ‘whether it’s Biden or someone else, I think it’s the same. ’ The former president has yet to make his choice of running mate, and the world is watching in keenly.
