UK braces for eruption of far-right riots across cities

Britain is held in suspense for another day as the country prepares for more violence, and where far-right activists are said to be plotting race riots in many cities.

Anti-hate campaigners who track the white supremacy groups’ activities worry that yesterday, racists intended to invade at least 30 places in the country. The targets are said to be solicitors, advice groups that help migrants, and centers that host immigrants.

Police prepare for more tension. Still, more than 400 arrests have been made in the recent protests. The counter-protesters are arranging themselves to ensure they match the number of the troublemakers, thinking it will work in their favor, as is the case in some places.

‘We are doing everything we can to make sure that where the police response is required, it is all out, and where support is needed for particular places, that is in place,’ said Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who also chaired a second Cobra meeting Tuesday to discover how to counter the violence.

More than 5,300 policemen have been deployed in the area to solve the problem, British media said. However, people remain exposed to hatred incitements in social media through disinformation.

The riots started in Southport following a stabbing on July 29, where attackers fueled rioters with a lie that carried out a stabbing spree of a Muslim migrant. Indeed, the 17-year-old suspect by name Alex Rudakubana, was born in Wales and is not a Muslim or even a migrant.

Says the critic, racism has come into force as a result of previous leaders propagating anti-immigration policies. The rioters have repeated comments such as ‘Stop the boats’, the same as the former Home Secretary Suella Braverman.

Analyzing the respondents’ statements, one may conclude that all of them mentioned the attitude and language of the conservatives, which dehumanized the refugees and influenced people’s perception of them:

“It has to be said that 14 years of the Conservative government and their attitude in the way they used the language they used dehumanized and that has an impact on people’s thinking, as one of the Liverpool Region Mosque Network’s members, Tawhid Islam stated

In this crucible that the United Kingdom is now facing with this wave of disturbances, the concerned groups being attacked, including Muslims, migrants, refugees, and ethnic minorities, are standing guard and ready to protect their homes and earning sources.
