IAEA reports it has not found any rise in radiation levels at major nuclear facilities in Iran after the US air strikes. US President Donald Trump has confirmed that the United States forces attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities in a “very successful attack”, stating that the highly guarded Fordow nuclear facility is “gone”.
Trump’s action on Saturday to enter Israel’s war against Iran is a huge build-up of the confrontation. We have completed our attack on the three Nuclear facilities in Iran, including the little-known sanctuaries, Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, noting that the military aircraft were returning home.
Subsequently, in a three-minute broadcast Oval Office speech, Trump told Iran its future was “either peace or tragedy”, and that there were numerous other sites the US military could strikeRussia and Ukraine reach agreement to halt military strikes.
“Iran’s main nuclear facilities have been destroyed,” Trump said. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi responded by accusing the US of violating international law.
The United States, as one of the UN Security Council permanent members, has made a serious breach of the UN Charter, international law and the NPT by attacking Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities,” Araghchi wrote on social media.
“Whatever happened this morning is outrageous and will have everlasting implications. Every single member of the UN should be concerned about such highly risky, lawless and criminal acts.
