Before, the current President Donald Trump has been accused of having intentionally mislabeling the names of two high-ranking females; Nikki Haley and Nancy Pelosi who were the leaders of the two largest houses. This has fueled the view that males in power are not serious about women in power.
On the speech he made this week, Trump who used to be Haley’s boss referred to her as “Nancy”, chuckled and apologised saying that, that is what comes out of his mouth. He went ahead to note that he rode on a combination of Pelosi and Haley’s monikers to give the crowds a thrilling experience.
Critics of Trump now include politicians and women’s rights defenders, who, in their view, those are derogatory remarks about the lady in question. These commentators opine that in his approach to referring to successful women, Trump exhibits a lack of respect by simply mispronouncing their names purposefully in a way that he reduces coiffed women to interchangeable characters for his own pleasure.
Others assert that Trump’s remarks have no malice and portray him as merely being a professional at the art of humor, which his supporters understand is simply entertainment. However, the incident represents the concerns existing among many community members that Trump’s opinion about women, which have been pursued before the presidency and campaign, can not be disentangled from his presidency.
