Video Shows Iran Launching over 100 ballistic missiles at Israel

The final 25 seconds of the video show dozens of what looks like burning balls dropping over an urban center; many explode mid-air, but quite a few seem to strike the ground.

New Delhi:
In what is the second such attack within seven months, Iran launched a large-scale missile offensive against Israel, targeting military bases in the strike that has been dubbed ‘Operation True Promise II.’

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards said the attack was dramatically ratcheting up military tension across West Asia to avenge the killing last week of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

In a terrifying video of the attack shared to X by Iranian news outlet Press TV, several rockets can be seen firing off, arcing into the night sky, making a roar.

As that video plays out and pans to reveal more of the sky, more burning orange spots appear over the horizon.

Still, the last 25 seconds of the clip show dozens of what looks like burning balls dropping over an urban center; many of them explode mid-air after having been successfully intercepted.

One of the videos which has gone viral online shows a large crater near Mossad HQ in Tel Aviv.

The video was geolocated by CNN to confirm it was shot from a high-rise apartment building in Herzliya, less than 3 km from the Mossad headquarters.

The salvo of over 180 projectiles included the Fattah hypersonic missiles for the first time.

The missiles flying over meant it streaked over Jordan, too, with Amman announcing a suspension of air traffic.

However, Israel’s formidable multi-layered aerial defense system, with the Iron Dome at its core, acted to intercept the missiles.
