War in Ukraine: A Russian missile strike on Chernihiv claimed 14 lives.

A massacre of 14 people in the city of Chernihiv, which is located in the north of the country, was committed by Russian missiles, just as the Ukraine authorities announced.

According to the Ukrainian interim cognizant minister, there were more than 60 of the residents in the building in a massively populated area injured in the attack.

Three targets were in the city centre within the area of the explosion, falling victim to the rocket attack, officials reported.

Just a few hours earlier, some Ukrainian sources had claimed that part of a Russian Defense enterprise in the annexed Crimea was damaged.

So far, there have been no confirmations of details, but some short videos from the area’s social media channels appeared, showing an obviously burning airfield at Dzhankoy in northern Crimea.

The presidential office in Kyiv disclosed that another four high-rise buildings, a hospital, dozens of automobiles and a higher education institution got crippled in the attack.

Kyrylo Tsymbal, the Ukrainian Interior Affairs Minister, confirmed that two children were among the casualties, and the police have launched a search and rescue operation for any other missing persons under the rubbles.

The incident’s scorer displayed the place’s population as people who got off the trolley bus and dove to the ground. As for the authorities, they implored all the people, donors and those interested to donate their blood.

Search and rescue operations by its emergency system are still on to reach out to more victims.

According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Russian attack would not have happened without Ukraine’s appropriate air defence weaponry. Zelensky repeatedly pleaded that Western allies generously supply what is needed.

Chernihiv is the closest city to the Russian border, the distance being 100km (60 miles).
