Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Kyiv is developing a ‘policy roadmap’ to garner international support for the ongoing fight against Russia. Speaking to reporters in Kyiv on Friday, Zelenskiy underlined the necessity of developing and outlines the actions that would have the support of the international community.
MOSCOW — ‘It is very important for us to demonstrate the plan to stop the war, which will have the support of a majority of the states,’ Zelenskyy stated while talking to Slovenian President Natasa Pirc Musar.
Ukraine and Russia still have not agreed on key conditions for the peace settlement. The Ukrainian government continues to demand that Russia fully pull out from all the latter’s foreign-recognized Ukrainian territories, in particular, Crimea, before a negotiating process is initiated. Nevertheless, the Kremlin insists on the Ukrainian side’s surrender of more of the occupied territories throughout the east and south.
Recently, Zelenskyy invited representatives of more than 90 countries to an international summit in Switzerland, where they discussed respect for Ukraine as a subject and agreed on its territorial integrity. Still, some important countries, including India, remained indifferent at the summit.
Speaking about the slow Russian progress on the battlefield, Zelenskyy said he would reveal a detailed plan to restore peace in the coming months, stressing the need to reduce the strongest influence of the losses among the military and the population.
The announcement comes days after the tensions escalated; Russia said that the unmanned aerial vehicle patrols by the U. S could lead to a confrontation between Moscow and NATO.
