Zelenskyy’s wealth: $30M net worth, yachts, and jets revealed

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, a comedian-turned-president, is worth $30 million. He wasn’t included among Ukraine’s billionaires despite his riches during the invasion. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky gained international attention after a heated spat with US President Donald Trump at the White House during the current war with Russia.

Following a failed mineral deal with the US, Zelensky won significant backing from the UK and other European nations. Famous for his signature military-style informal wear, Zelensky’s journey to the presidency is out of the ordinary, considering he is a comedian by profession. His mixed career in acting, business, and stock market investment has reportedly earned him millionaire status.

In 2022, when the Russian invasion of Ukraine began, Forbes valued Zelensky’s net worth at around $30 million (Rs 262.40 crore currently). Before becoming president in 2019, the source of Zelensky’s wealth was his work as a film actor, producer, and comedian. He was the owner of the production company Kvartal-95 Studio, which he sold the majority stake of after becoming president.

According to a Forbes report, Zelensky owns a flat in Ukraine’s most expensive building, along with two additional apartments in Kyiv. Some media reports also suggest that he possesses five yachts and three private jets. Additionally, there are claims of investments in companies like Meta and Tesla, although Forbes states that the accuracy of this information remains unverified.

Ukrainian President Zelensky’s wife, Olena Zelenska, is said to have a bank deposit worth approximately $2 million and own government bonds. Her jewellery, vehicles, and other valuables are estimated at nearly $1 million.

The Russian occupation of Ukraine that began on February 24, 2022, has critically hurt the Ukrainian economy. Its billionaires have made some heavy losses through this process. Forbes’ 36th yearly billionaires list at the outbreak of the conflict found just seven billionaires still present in Ukraine. Zelensky was prominently not on the list.
